Supposed to have two normal turbos and two electric ones (which sound like superchargers to me).
Merc switched to V engines because they're shorter and therefore you can have more deformable space to act as a crumple zone without having to make the car longer and heavier so it's a bit odd they would switch back.

They sound like superchargers to me too. But why would Merc choose to call them turbos then?
I didn't know that about the V engines...thanks for that nugget.

Merc haven't called them anything yet, this is speculation by a magazine.

" Next Mercedes E-Class to get quad-turbo inline-six,"
Like the 3 turbo'd M3 / M4? Oh wait that didn't come to fruition. Why do people like to speculate new cars having an exceedingly huge amount of tarbos.
